The Municipality of Clarington (Municipality) is seeking a qualified company to complete the cleanout and retrofit of the Eiram Stormwater Management Pond in Bowmanville in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications contained herein.

The scope of work shall include the following: 

• General cleanout of the SWM pond including the removal of accumulated sediment and overgrown vegetation to restore the original design elevations/grades and function of the facility. 
• Retrofit quantity control cell to incorporate a forebay with a permanent pool (greater than 1.0m deep) to increase the efficiency of sediment capture/removal and provide erosion protection measures such as rip rap at the forebay inlet to minimize the potential scour and sediment remobilization within the forebay area.
• Rehabilitation of the storm sewer at the quality control cell inlet including repairs to the damaged headwall. 
• Rehabilitation of the extended detention outlet including replacement of the stone jacket around the extended detention control device. 
• Restoration of the gabion mattress downstream of where the quality control cell inlets into the quantity control cell and restoration of the rip rap at the main inlet to the quantity control cell. 
• Restoration of the quantity control outlet structure that is partially blocked. 
• Improvements to the access road including clearing wood chips and other organic materials.
